Gridspin 🏈 Football draft game

Terms of use

Gridspin is a free football game. These are the rules for using it, said as plainly as they can be: who can play, how to behave, what happens if you do not, and what the game does and does not promise. They apply from the moment you play, with or without an account.

Anything here can be asked about at privacy@gridspin.app. What the game KEEPS about you is a separate page: the privacy policy.

Who can play

Gridspin is for people aged 16 and over. If you are younger than that, please do not make an account.

You can play without an account at all. When you finish a season the site makes a guest account so the score can go on the leaderboard, and that guest holds nothing about you - no address, no name you gave it. You can turn it into a real account later, and everything you have played carries over.

Your account

One person, one account. Making extra accounts to put more scores on a board, to play a duel against yourself, or to get round something a moderator has done is the kind of cheating that costs other players something, and accounts used that way can be closed.

Your password is yours to look after, and nobody from Gridspin will ever ask you for it. If you lose it, use the "Forgotten your password?" link on the log in screen.

How to behave

Your username, your bio and your picture are public, and they are held to one rule: nothing hateful, sexual, threatening, or pretending to be somebody else. A blocked-word list checks names and bios automatically, and anything it misses can be reported by any player from the profile it is on.

Do not try to break the game for other people: no automating play, no picking at the site looking for holes, no flooding it with requests, and nothing that gets in the way of somebody else's draft or duel.

What a moderator can do

If something breaks the rules above, a moderator can clear a bio, remove a picture, change a username, take a score off a board, or close an account. The usual answer is the smallest of those, and a name or a bio is normally just cleared.

If you think a decision was wrong, write to privacy@gridspin.app and say which account it was. There is a person at the other end.

Coins, badges and the shop

Coins are a score, not money. They cannot be bought, sold, exchanged for anything outside the game, or moved between accounts, and they have no cash value. The same goes for badges, frames, titles and everything else the shop holds.

Nothing in Gridspin costs real money today. If that ever changes, these terms will say so before it does, and anything with a price will show it before you buy.

Prices, what is on sale and what an item looks like can change, and an item can be withdrawn. What you already own stays yours for as long as your account does, and goes with it if the account is closed.

What you write and upload

Your bio and your picture stay yours. Putting them on Gridspin gives the site permission to show them to other players, which is the point of a profile, and nothing more. Do not upload a picture you do not have the right to use.

The scores

Every finished season is checked on the server before it is recorded: the site replays your draft from its own copy of the boards and works the result out itself, so what reaches a leaderboard is what actually happened. A result that was not come by honestly can be removed, and the account that posted it can be closed.

The NFL, the teams and the players

Gridspin is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Football League, any of its clubs, or any player. No such connection is claimed or implied.

The game is built on statistics from publicly available records of games that were really played. Team and player names are used to say which team and which player a statistic belongs to - they are facts about real football. All trademarks belong to whoever owns them.

The game can change, and it can stop

Gridspin is run by one person and is free to play. It is offered as it is: no promise that it will be available, that it will not change, or that a score or a season will survive a problem with it. Modes can be added, changed or taken away, and the site can be stopped altogether.

As far as the law allows, Gridspin is not liable for anything lost by using it - a score, a streak, an account, or the time spent earning them.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, in the United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Changes to these terms

These terms say how the site works today, and they are updated when the site changes. They were last updated on 1 October 2026. Carrying on playing after a change means the new ones apply.
